Well the next time you, your significant other or child gets a serious or life-threatening illness or inury, why don't you call your favorite sports or Hollywood or music star you praise so highly, worship and so willingly pay, to treat and save you or your loved one? Did you know that the average physician in the U.S. has an annual income of less than 25% of the highest paid sports, Hollywood or music celebrities?
What would be the effects if all health care workers nationally were to stage a one week walk-out, not do a single thing; not even write or fill a prescription? It's not too hard to understand just how warped and perverted our values and priorities have become!
Yes, it is your right to choose how you live. Look at those statistics. You can choose to make an effort at renovating your health or even having the courage and conviction of joining the mere 10% of us who put being "Fit, Trim, Healthy for Life" as a Lifestyle Priority. Or, you can continue on with a lifestyle that gambles with your health and very life!...And you're worried about your image?...Leading lifestyles that blatantly show and portray someone who is not self-respecting of and who has little regard for their own health....It shows with the unhealthy habits and lifestyles priorities you choose. The bottom line is, if you don't care about your health, why should any doctor or health care professional?
